Month 2 ....done!

With slightly less rush to the midnight deadline here is month 2's list done
1 farseer
5 locks
2 x 6 Guardian jetbikes

I'm not very happy with the finish I have got on the warlocks. The yellow looks very dirty up close. They will do for the purposes of the painting deadline but I will probably strip and redo them with a different technique at some stage

Quick Update

Quick update with the work done on the warlocks. These guys at the moment look like stock Iyanden guardians. The left arms will be taken off and replaced with spears and swords pilfered from my High Elves stuck in a box somewhere and I will try my hand at some hand painted runes on them to give them 'lock status.  Hopefully they will come out reasonably well. With 2 full painting days left, yet again I am going right down to the wire!! Really must stop doing that!

N.B sorry the photo is really over reflected from the flash so it drowns out most of the highlights. Will try and take a better one

And they're off!!

Well the challenge has well and truly started. Sunday the 1st of March I was allowed to open my shiny Eldar Windrider host and start assembling. So I can keenly report that the total number of models assembled so far is....drum roll please.......zero.

Oops, I like to think I have a reasonable excuse though. I got engaged yesterday and as such I think if I had attempted to do any modelling, a) quantity of champagne drunk would result in loss of fingers b) I would set a new world record for shortest engagement ever :)>

The Challenge

The challenge:  As with the White Dwarf article, our Tale of Three Gamers will be run over four months with the point’s value of models assembled increasing each month

Month 1: 500 points

Month 2: 750 points

Month 3: 1000 points

Month 4: 1500 points

There is also discussion of including bonus challenges with items such as object markers to be decided later.

This brings me to the hardest part of the challenge. The list!
I have an idea of what units I really want to include.

Farseer and Warlock squad on bikes loaded up with destructor
3 Jetbike Squads (need the troop choices for loot counter missions)
I really want some Harlequins in there. I love the fluff and they will be great fun to paint

The rest to be decided from the following:

Vypers
Fire Prism
Wave Serpent
Shining Spears
